Media lesson one, 15th sept 10

During todays lesson we were put into our groups. Mine consists of Joshua Ashton, Beccy McTaggart and MacKenzie Byrne. We were asked to research music videos of which we remembered and make notes about them. I researched Soundgarden's 'Black hole sun', Guns n roses' 'November Rain' and Metallica's 'One'. What i realised was that I mostly remember vivid and creative videos. For example; Soundgarden's 'Black hole sun' was very colourful and creative with its vivid imagery. Another example of creativity I found was in Guns n Roses' 'November Rain'; this is because it told a story from beginning to end in a short space of time and it also included live footage of the band playing. Overall, what I've noticed is that the most memorable videos are creative, vivid and occasionally tell a story.
